"Beethoven in Scotland", Scottish Leiders and the Gassenhauer Trio. Beethoven was commissioned by Scottish publisher George Thomson to arrange Scottish folksongs for voice and piano trio. The composer devoted himself to the task "con amore", producing masterful miniatures. Mozart, the Church Sonatas Ensemble PHOENIX On early instruments
In the period 1772-80 Mozart's wrote a number of Church Sonatas scored for two violins, cello and organ continuo or obbligato. He called them Sonatas after the Epistle, chamber works written for the church, possibly modeled in his father Leopold's Sonate sei a tre per chiesa e da camera (1740). In 1777 Wolfgang reportedly told the keyboard-maker Stein of his admiration for the organ as the king of instruments.

Bach: The Musical Offering Ensemble PHOENIX on early instruments
The Musical Offering is a set of compositions based on a theme devised by Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. Johann Sebastian Bach wrote it in 1747, a few months after his visit to the Royal Palace in Potsdam, and printed it at his own expenses as a present for the king. The work, together with The Art of Fugue, is certainly one of the landmarks of the musical repertoire of all times.

French Paradox the fantastic encounter of Ravel and Couperi Ensemble PHOENIX on early instruments.
An imaginary dialogue between Ravel and Couperin has been created by Ravel in his Le tombeau de Couperin, an homage to the 18th century composer. As good Frenchmen, Ravel and Couperin enjoyed exquisite meals, fine wine and spirited conversation. Living two hundred years apart, they represent a breed of composers sharing the melodic refinement, harmonic subtlety and coloring so typically French.
